Tristin Williams clocked a time of 20 minutes and 35 seconds to place 16th in the girls run and lead the Spartan Cross Country runners in the Salt Creek Invitational Cross Country meet, sponsored by Port Angeles High School.
Fellow Spartan Kari Larson finished 23rd.
Alan Ensastegui was the best boy Spartan, finishing the run in 26th place. Alvaro Ortiz finished 51st.
Luke Beauchamp of Interlake won the boys’ race with a time of 15:46. Rounding out the top five were Ryan Clarke of Port Townsend, 15:48, Alex Doran and Kyle Van Draanen of Interlake and John Griffin of Kingston.
Nikita Waghani topped the girls’ race at 18:17, followed by Annie Roberts of Kingston, Annie Davis of Interlake and Clara Lund and Kathleen Ramsey of Interlake.
The Forks boys team finished 10th with 256 points. Port Angeles won boys team scoring with 118 points.
The girls team race was won by Interlake with 55 points.
The cross country team is scheduled to run this afternoon at Morton with White Pass joining the race and at the Kings Cross Invite Saturday in Shoreline.
