Kari Larson clocked a time of 20:59 for seventh place in the girls race and the Forks boys team placed eighth in the 1A District 4 cross country championships last weekend on the Lewis River Golf Course in Woodland.
The boys were led by Alan Ensastegui, who clocked a time of 18:05 on the 5k course, good for 23rd place.
Next up on the boys side was Joel Mohn, whose 19:03 was good for 45th place. Also finishing were Alvaro Ortiz, 19:33; Aaron Krume, 19:39; Johnny Lua, 19:50, and Austin Pegream, 20:13.
Other Spartan girls to clock times in the district race were Brooke Peterson, 21:58; Tristin Williams, 22:51, and Tristina Smith, 27:08
The team clocked a solid year, coach Brian Weekes said.
The boys team finished in third in the league championship Oct. 24, with Ensastegui placing third.
Larson finished in fourth place in league, with Peterson clocking eighth place.
